PrimaryAccess is freely available for non-commercial uses thanks to funding by the J. B. duPont Foundation, Teaching With Primary Sources (through the Library of Congress), and the University of Virginia.
If you're Student
If you're a student in a class where your teacher has assigned you a username and password, you do not need to create a new account, just use that information to log-in by clicking on the tool (MovieMaker or StoryBoard) you want to use on the Home page.
If you're a Teacher
You need to create a teacher's account using the TeacherTool page and click on the Register link in the top-right corner.
If you just want to Make Movies
If you are not a student in a class or a teacher, but just want to make movies using the PrimaryAccess tools, click on the tool (MovieMaker or StoryBoard) you want to use on the Home page and use a valid email address as your user name, and leave the pasword as it is (it's set to the word "blank").
A PrimaryAccess account will be created for you the first time you do this, and you can then use any of our tools and save your Movies and Storyboards on the PrimaryAccess server to create and re-edit your work.
